Package Includes:

• Chinese translation of a letter of 200 words or less. ( If your letter is over 200 words, multiply the number of extra words by .12, then use the payment buttons to pay the additional amount).

• SASE - for the recipient to send a reply to you. Including a SASE will greatly enhance your chances of receiving a reply. SASE is a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the name of your country in Chinese characters in front of your address. We use envelopes and postage specified by the Chinese Post Office for international mailing. International postage is expensive for ordinary Chinese families, and orphanages and foster parents appreciate the gesture.

• Photos - you may include photos with the letter. Please email the photos to us or send by post office.

• We send everything inside China for you, which avoids international mailing.  We use Chinese Super Express Mail. Delivery is 2 to 4 days after we send the package.

• We verify arrival of the letter, via Chinese Post office, or by calling the recipient if you have the phone number (we can locate an orphanage phone number, but we cannot locate phone numbers for individuals in China such as foster parents.)

• We notify you via email when the letter package arrives. If the letter does not arrive within 30 days, we resend the letter.

How to Order

1. Select the letter package plus any options. You may use the Add to Cart buttons or pay by check.

When paying by PayPal, please use your own home address as the "ship to" address. This will help PayPal to process your order smoothly. I use PayPal for payment only. I get the "ship to" address (the orphanage or foster parent addresses) directly from you.

When paying by check or money order, make it payable to Chinese Translation BlessedKids Inc.

2. Email, mail or fax the following information:

(a) The letter you would like us to translate. You may send your own letter, or modify one of our standard letters.

(b) Chinese characters of your child's Chinese name.  The characters will enable us to accurately translate your child's name for the letter that accompanies the package. You can find this information in your CCAA acceptance letter or your Pre-Approval letter.

(c) Chinese characters of the orphanage's name, and address, if possible.  You can find the Chinese characters of the orphanage name in your CCAA acceptance letter or your Pre-Approval letter. If you don't have the address, we will find it for you free of charge when you order a package. 

(d) If the recipient is an individual or foster family, and you have their phone number, please send it so we may confirm the package arrival.  If you do not have the phone number we can verify arrival through the Chinese Post Office.

(e) Photos - Please email your photos to us or send by post office.

(f) Your mailing address - If you expect a reply to your letter.

1 month after the package arrives, we contact the recipient to determine if a reply has been sent to you. If the recipient is an individual or foster family, please provide their phone number. We cannot locate phone numbers of individuals in China.  

If the recipient is an orphanage, we can locate the phone number.

One Camera US $20

Please develop the film in China. The film may be sensitive to airport x-ray machines.

This service retrieves the film from the camera you sent to the orphanage or foster parents in the care package, develops the pictures and emails them to you.

Please note that this service is not appropriate if you plan to travel to China within 35 days after placing an order.

Part 1: Check with Orphanage

We first check with the orphanage or foster parents to see if they will send the film back to us.  There is a non-refundable $25 fee for calling the orphanage.  We cannot predict whether they will cooperate with us.

Part 2: Get Photos

If the orphanage or foster parents agree to send the film to our contacts in China, then we can go ahead with the film retrieval service.  Fees include the money for the orphanage or foster parents to mail film back to our contacts in China, calling them (usually several times) to encourage them to mail the film, photo-processing fee, and emailing the photos to you.

We order your flowers from a company in China. They can be delivered to almost any location in China.

Send a greeting card with any care package. You may send a 25-word message which we will translate into Chinese and write in the card.

If you do not send a message, we will write this message in Chinese characters to orphanage staff or foster parents: Thank you for taking such good care of our child.  Sincerely, Jim and Linda Smith

Package Delivery

Cake and flower gifts arrive 1 to 2 days after we place the order.  All other package options include Chinese Super Express Delivery which is the Chinese equivalent to UPS delivery in the USA. Total time for your package to arrive at an orphanage is approximately 11 to 14 business days after you place your order. We notify you by email when the package arrives. Need faster delivery?  We also offer Rush Service.

Disclaimer

We cannot guarantee that the recipient will reply to your letter. We have no agreements with individuals or orphanages regarding correspondence we send on your behalf. Regarding cameras, it will be up to the orphanage staff to take photos with any cameras we send on your behalf. We do not have any agreements with them regarding photography. We do encourage them to take pictures with the cameras when we call to confirm delivery, but we cannot guarantee that orphanage staff will take good photos or return all of the items or answers to your questions when you receive your child. Orphanages are sometimes overwhelmed with managing the adoption process and can forget to bring some items when they meet you.
