Fresh Ginger Tea

Serves a family of three.

Ingredients: fresh ginger root and tea.


(1) Cut two or three slices of a fresh ginger root. Remove the skins.

(2) Cut the ginger slices into very small pieces.

(3) Put the ginger pieces into 3 cups of water in a pot. Put the lid on the pot and boil the water.

Earl Grey Tea, Earl Grey Constant Comment, Earl Grey Jasmine Green Tea, Earl Grey Cinnamon Sticks Tea, Celestial Cinnamon Apple Spice Herbal Tea, Chinese Jasmine Tea, Chinese Lychee Black Tea, Westlake Dragon Well Tea.

Chinese people love to use fresh ginger when they cook meats, fish and shrimp. It is an essential part of Chinese cooking and I have it available in my refrigerator at all times. I cannot imagine my life without it.

When I was a little girl, my parents would cook shredded ginger in boiling water for me if I got caught in the rain on the way home from school. They mixed some sugar in the ginger water and urgently asked me to drink it as soon as possible to prevent me from catching a cold.
