Interpretation of Phone Calls to China and Taiwan

About This Service

If you want to call anyone in China or Taiwan, for personal or business reasons, AdeleI will be glad to be the interpreter.

How this service works:

1. You must be able to make a three-way call on your phone.

2. We contact the person in China to arrange a time for the call. You must provide the name of the person, their phone number, and the list of questions or issues you plan to discuss. If you are calling about your child, please send the Chinese characters of your child's name. You can find the Chinese characters of your child's name in your CCAA acceptance letter or your pre-approval letter.

3. At the appointed time, you call Adele first, then you dial the person in China.

4. When ordering, please send all of the following information as soon as possible:

The name of the person you are contacting in China and their phone number, and the list of questions or issues you plan to discuss. If you are calling about your child, please send the Chinese characters of your child's name. You can find the Chinese characters of your child's name in your CCAA acceptance letter or your pre-approval letter.

Note: We will not be able to obtain the phone number of a person in China even if you provide us this person's name.

Dialing Instructions for Calling China:

Country Code - When calling China, use 011-86 in front of the Chinese phone number. (011 is for international calls, and 86 is the country code for China).

Drop Leading Zero on Area Codes - When you dial into China, for any area code that starts with zero, drop the zero. (For example, modify Beijing’s area code from 010 to 10.) China’s internal area code system uses three or four digits. (For example, Beijing’s area code is 010. In contrast, Xiamen’s area code is 0592).

Dialing example: If a hotel in Beijing has a phone number that looks like this: (010) 323-35567, then dial it like this: 011-86 (10) 323-35567.
